Follow the Yak ‘n Run FaceBook page for updates!
The Yak 'n Run is a fun, outdoor event for kayakers and runners of all skill levels. You can participate as an individual, or as a team member, where one person kayaks and then "hands off" to the other team member to run the Lake Trail.
The kayak course is about a .6 mile out and back loop, ending at the boat ramp. Then we'll help pull the kayaks to the side, and the runner will head off into the woods on the Lake Trail, about 2.25 miles of moderately technical trail. That means there are roots, logs, spiders, undergrowth, and some dry creek crossings. (at least they've always been dry so far!) Check out the video for pictures of the course.
Please check the information below about this year's unique situation, and then click here to let us know you plan to attend this year's event!
Due to the unusual circumstances of this year’s social distancing, we will not require registration payment until race day. We ask that you register so that we know you will be attending so we can prepare the food, awards and other race-day details. We will order your shirt and mail it to you after the event.
We will continue to watch the updates from the governor and the CDC and respond accordingly.
Registration forms are also available at Missouri Running Company and local fitness centers.
